"Everybody knows how to design 8-bit systems really well. We see no real decline in sales ahead. Eight-bit processors even do some things even faster or better than 16-bit chips. Eight-bit processors are simpler to program and can produce more compact code. Sometimes they can execute instructions faster. We're not too concerned that 8-bit stuff is going to die."
